History: Kalina was born in New York, raised between New York and Los Angeles due to a divorce, and aspired to become a lawyer. She found that being a lawyer cost more money than she could afford, and took a police position. Within the Police Department, she quickly moved up the ranks, until she is now a Detective Lieutenant in the Unit. She is currently working to move to the Special Operations Bureau, and raise through the ranks there.
Personally, she's very low-key. She's suspected of having a relationship with her partner, but it's never able to be proven.
